Kayvan Mirhadi (6.1960)

He received his first studies on music at the age of "9"then at the age of "19"he chose classical guitar for lifetime playing and teaching. He passed the two-year private course under professor "Simon Ayvazian". Then studied some theoretical lesson under "M. Rohani".
However, Mirhadi is a self-taught composer , arranger and conductor.
He has been conducting so many choirs and chamber orchestras during 1988-2004 dedicated to classical music. Recently he constituted the "Camerata choir and chamber orchestra" and began to perform contemporary classical such as Glass,part,... and for the first time in Iran he arranged some tracks of Rock-band celebrities for camerata such as Nirvana Pink-Floyd, Scorpions, Iron maiden,... and began to give live concerts. So many fans had fun and pleasure of such point of view to Trance-Classical music.

One of Mirhadi's major interests is teaching. During past twenty two years he has been teaching classical Guitar, Harmony,Counterpoint,ear-training,History of western music,Form and Analyze, Parallel to Guitar. He gave his first solo performance in 1984. Then he attended on introducing classical and Flamenco Guitar beside dr.ayvaziyan at the prestigious "Roodaki Hall" in Tehran.
He has been teaching choir,Guitar,Theory of western music and History at the "Tehran university", "azad university", "Tehran conservatory" and the old and prestigious "Tehran college of music"(Honarestan).

He received his Master of science (M.A) degree on "Art Research Methodology" and published his first book called:
"Music A-Z " on the western theory of music. The second one is a translation of "The History of Modern Music"by "Paul Griffiths" and soon will be released. He conducted a fusion concert and transcribed the works of the setar virtouso "Massoud Shoari" for the large classical-traditional Ensemble and gave concert in 2003 at Tehran Opera House (Vahdat Hall).

Mirhadi has been one of the jouries for "Young Guitarists Festival" (Tehran -2000) and the chife-joury for Isfahan's first festival on Guitar playing and style methodology.(2004).He has been arranging the Iranian folk music for chamber Ensemble.
. He also have a string quartet, a Song-Cycle on ancient persian profane and liturgical contexts for choir, soloists and chamber orchestra. Recently he is working on his first symphony. Besides, he is working on a translation of Jazz music and is going to gather a Rock Research to be taught at the universities.
During 2002-3 he wrote essays and critics on music and musiciansin "Golestaneh" art magazine.
